I'm the owner and operator of Reef Assist-Connecticut. I'd like to start off by stating that I do not work alone. I have an amazingly supportive wife, two fantastic dogs (who you can met below) and numerous family and friends that I confide in, that are with me every step of the way. When I refer to "we" or "us", I am referring to the collection of all of us. Without them, none of this would be possible.
I have been into aquariums for nearly 20 years, focusing on saltwater for the majority of that time, and I absolutely love it! I am incredibly passionate and excited about saltwater aquariums, this business and about sharing it all with my clients. A saltwater aquarium is a beautiful and amazing experience! You are attempting to recreate one of Mother Nature's most diverse and visually appealing wonders. Aquariums are no doubt beautiful, but along with their beauty they are often clouded with mystery and complexity, and can be down right intimidating to the unfamiliar. Reef Assist was designed to break through all of that, and be your guide along that journey. We make the road to a happy and healthy marine aquarium, that you can truly enjoy, less of a bumpy one. With our specialized experience and tailored approach, Reef Assist works alongside you with great care and communication.
I am truly thankful for you taking the time to visit and learn about us. Please do not hesitate to reach out to find out how we can best serve you.
We rescued Atlas in 2018 when he was six months old. He is super chill and very easy going. We often call him the "perfect dog". I personally think all dogs are perfect, but he is especially great. He loves walks, taking naps and lounging on the deck by the pool.
AKA Lunatic. We rescued Luna in 2021 at ten weeks old. She is the polar opposite of Atlas. She is very high energy and loves to wrestle, but also very cuddly. She loves curling up next me and dozing off. If you are missing any socks, she is to blame.
